For the achievement of particular needs we ask Allah for help through dua. It expresses a slave’s helplessness and trust on Allah, the All-Powerful and Merciful. Dua is a way through which one gets directly in touch with one’s Creator. When nothing helps us then only Dua helps. When making Dua, a person should have a firm faith that he is asking from Allah the All-Powerful, and He is able to fulfill every need of ours. The purpose of man’s creation is worship and according to a Hadeeth, ‘dua is the spirit of worship’. (Tirmizi) And according to another Hadeeth, ‘dua is the worship’. (Tirmizi)
